water in the garden - pond - swimming pool - Pool

WATER in the garden

water areas practice many people have a particular attraction from.
comfort me personally water.
The play of the waves, the sound of bubbling water relaxes me.
The air in the water is cool in summer
and is there anything more beautiful than on a hot day, to hang your feet in the water?

We have a small pool - that's cool in the summer great. But I have no plants and animals that I can watch. Therefore, we are still looking for a place for a small pond or at least a pool of water.
I have ever put together a few examples of how it could look like:

A source rock would be a solution. The child is safe and low maintenance.
We still think - I report!

seed planning

In planning our planting was of course important that the garden should be easy to clean. I
love our garden and I also really like to burrow in the ground, but the hammock will be used.
A maintenance garden has nothing to do with boring.
Our garden is the best example.

I list here are a few plants from our garden:

trees and shrubs for space education and screening:
maple (Acer negundo), Robinia Friesia, ironwood tree (Parrotia persica), apple thorn (Crataegus lavalleei Carrierei).
A large apple tree was already there, several small gnarled fruit trees and a delicious medium-Williams Pear as well.
We have supplemented the apples Topaz and Gravenstein.

A few important shrubs call I would like to
(Amelanchier lamarckii), spindle tree (Euonymus planipes), Jasmine (Philadelphus), Bridal Spirea (Spiraea arguta), Firethorn (Pyracantha),
(usury ) Bamboo Phyllostachus (with root barrier).
Heritage shrub roses, climbing rose New Dawn, Bobby James, friendliness.
Many perennials and box of course.

front of the new terrace, we have prepared a bed for
drought-loving perennials - the gravel bed .
main plant will be here: lavender, irises, catmint, Bart flower.
Grasses: Pennisetum (Pennisetum), Miscanthus
bulbs: tulips, ornamental onions, lilies
This basic planting can we add to wish again and again by short-lived annuals or perennials.

For a more shaded areas, we will create a corner with Hydrangeas: Hydrangea Limelight
, Hydrangea Endless Summer hydrangea and (Hydrangea anomala)
complement the Japan-grass ( Hakonechloa)

Here is an excerpt from a planting plan

Rosen:
on roses, especially the selection of healthy, robust species and varieties is important.
The General German Rose sighting (short ADR) test new rose varieties.
Only the best new varieties have the title of ADR-Rose.
Here is a link to the Hompepage of ADR with a list of all ADR roses

My recommendation for Private garden: find out this long list robust , healthy rose varieties for your garden.
Rugged Roses are easy to prepare and enjoy!

A few favorite roses in the garden:
shrub roses: Cinderella, Heritage
Ground Cover Rose: Innocencia
Climbing Rose: Bobby James (is high 10 meters!)

Easy care garden

example of a
easy-care mid-terrace house garden in Munich:

This garden has for many years mulched regularly (see also Tip below).
The ground is thus easy, easy to work with and very much alive.
The plants grow easily, are healthy and strong.
The Bux will cut 1 x per year (in June), which occasionally trees in summer a bit younger.
Thanks to the cover with newspaper and mulch in the perennial beds have little weed weeded.
The lawn needs the most attention. It is fertilized with Engelhardt's lawn fertilizer. This is the secret of this green carpet.
will scarify every few years.

tip for easy-care vegetable garden in September:
beds in vegetable garden I'm going to clear away little by little, I cover with a layer of cardboard and spread about 10 cm, almost rotten compost it. So I abandon it through the winter. In this way I save myself reacting the compost container. At the same time I put the soil organisms and earthworms provide much food for fall and winter. You can use the existing weed cover with the same without it first tear, is to spring like nothing left. What then in spring can still be seen on the beds of remains from the compost, I rake up and give it back in the compost container. The cardboard box is used to grow weeds that can not. So I have a finished vegetable patch in the spring for sowing or planting. then digging is not necessary - the earthworms have on the fall and winter loosened the ground beautifully. If you have heavy clay soil, then it is beneficial to tear open the Sauzahn in spring the ground. He warms up quicker. If you are working over several years using this method, even a heavy soil is loose and easier to edit.
